About

The

Project

To carry out our mission of building Austin’s future by upholding its legacy, Cumby Group takes inspiration from HOPE Outdoor Gallery and incorporates its spirit into the design of The Colorfield- one of Austin’s most anticipated new luxury residential developments.

To respect HOPE’s achievements and memorialize what the art park meant to the community, we named the project The Colorfield. Through the planning and construction of the project, we will work together with HOPE in partnership to relocate key elements of the HOPE Outdoor Gallery to the new location. We are also working with a select group of artists that gained notoriety with their start at HOPE Outdoor Gallery to create a mural wall that will be located at the front of The Colorfield building for all to see.

Hope

HOPE Outdoor Gallery is a community art park that launched in March 2010 on Baylor Street in downtown Austin. Serving as a place for hundreds of muralists, street artists, tourists and locals to come and express themselves, the art park quickly became the only one of its kind. The original Baylor location officially closed on January 2, 2019 to make way for the residential development of 10 exclusive luxury residences known as The Colorfield. A new park is planned to open early 2021 across from the Austin Bergstrom International Airport to become the new home for the creative community.
